Why this course?
Even with 3 A*’s at A level, students are not getting offers from the top UK universities. Grades are not enough. You need knowledge of the system and you need to plan early.
That’s where I come in – I have been helping families do this in my business, for over ten years.
Rather than wait until Sixth Form to start thinking about universities, it actually should start much earlier, such as Year 9, as it affects GCSE and A-level decisions, as well as decisions about which extra-curricular pursuits to emphasise and pursue.
Even if your child is not in Year 9 or above, it never hurts to know this information now.
To be forewarned is forearmed.
Who is the course for?
Students and their parents (Year 9-Year 12) with aspirations to go to a top UK university
Students and their parents (Year 9-Year 12) who want to study an ultra-competitive subject such as Medicine, Dentistry, Law or Architecture
Students and their parents (Year 9-Year 12) who want to have the best chance of being accepted at Oxford or Cambridge University
Parents and students (Year 9-Year 12) with no or little experience of applying to the UK’s top universities
Parents and students (Year 9-Year 12) who want a refresher and up-to-date advice about university applications
Students and their parents (Year 9-Year 12) who feel they are not being adequately supported in realising their university aspirations by their school
Students and their parents (Year 9-Year 12) who would like step-by-step support with the university application
Students and their parents who want to hit the ground running in Year 12 and not waste a single moment in order to maximise their chances of getting an offer from a top university
Students and their parents who are choosing A-levels in Year 11
Students and their parents in Year 10 who want practical tips to start exploring and building up interest in different university subjects
Students and their parents who are choosing GCSEs in Year 9
It runs for six weeks and includes:

- Four workbooks around the core topics

Parent Testimonial
Mrs N
Natalie’s course is an extremely informative course. It cleared up many doubts and misconceptions me and my daughter had about getting into top Universities. She stressed the importance of choosing the subjects you are good at to ensure you get the grades you desire rather than choosing something out of pressure. She is someone who has been through this system and thus knows it inside out.
Apart from the course Natalie also gives short presentation videos every Monday (Make it Matter Mondays) and Thursday (Fearless Futures Thursdays) that gives guidance on revision techniques, extracurricular activities and stress free life for both students and their parents. Natalie is also very approachable and happy to answer any questions you would have regarding your child’s further education during these live sessions. You can also post questions after the sessions which she answers in the following sessions.

Work Experience Booklet
From about the age of 14 right the way through university, it is important to get some work experience.
Work experience can provide evidence to university admissions tutors that you will be an interested and committed student with an understanding of the work context, particularly relevant when applying for subjects such as Medicine, Veterinary Science, Nursing, Law, Business and Architecture.
Even if you are not applying for one of these subjects, completing projects or simply showing an interest in something new to you suggests that you have the skills for which tutors are looking. Part-time jobs and sustained voluntary work also demonstrate tenacity.
Other companies are more likely to employ you in the future if they know you have worked elsewhere before. Work experience at a company may give you a foot in the door to work if you apply for a permanent position at the company.
However, just accruing work experience is not enough. It is important to:
- plan how to maximise it
- reflect on it and
- articulate what your child got from it in order to shine in their university application.

This workbook will help your child:
- Know and plan what they want to get out of their work placement to create a meaningful and highly beneficial experience, helping them turn it from a “have to do” to a “want to do”.
- Reflect on their work experience to consider what they got from their experience and what they liked and disliked about particular work tasks and environments in order to maximise the learning potential from the placement to help them create the future they want.
- Make and maintain business connections with people they meet on work experience to help secure future employment through their contacts’ networks.
- Keep it all their thoughts and notes in one place to continually consolidate, reflect and take action on the experience they gain over a number of years.
- Get the maximum out their work experience and articulate this persuasively so that they can create a powerful personal statement for university applications.

The workbook is a 56 page PDF packed with engaging pages to stimulate your thinking about your career.
